Here are some ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ (FAQ) related to my Gardening services.

Yes there is work to do in every season.

Autumn is harvest time and bulbs for spring are planted out, summer bedding replaced and pruning back perennials. Winter is for pruning of trees, roses, climbers such as wisteria and grape vines, as well as planting of shrubs and trees. Spring is ideal for feeding and scarifying lawns and of course preparing for the summer. In the summer months there is often so much happening that I can be doing anything from weeding, to planting summer bedding, mowing and training climbers and plants to grow in the right way.

Each garden is so varied that there is no one size fits all. For gardens with shrubs, hedging or flower beds usually I visit these gardens a little more regularly. Gardens which have a lawn or gravel areas are maintained as necessary. This can be discussed to ascertain what is required.

Yes, in each season there are flexible working arrangements and I operate an appointment system if that is more convenient.

I have a system which means that if I get very busy I hire an assistant. This is usually another female.

Yes I am only insured to use my personal tools.

Most work is chargeable by the hour unless discussed in advance. This starts at £25 per hour.

Yes, this is at an extra cost, to reflect time and waste management.
